Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) looks to turn the team’s luck around in Vegas. Dave Blaney will pilot the No. 36 Accell Construction Chevrolet at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) this weekend. The team looks for a solid finish in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Kobalt Tools 400 Sunday, March 6th to propel TBR into the top-35 in owner points.

TBR AT VEGAS – TBR made their team debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2010 after failing to qualify in the team’s rookie year. Mike Bliss drove the No. 36 to a 30th-place starting spot. A lap 135 incident ended TBR’s day, relegating the No. 36 to a 39th-place finish.

BLANEY AT VEGAS – Blaney made nine starts at the 1.5-mile track in his NSCS career. His best start came in 2002 when he started from the 10th spot in a Jasper Motorsports machine. His best finish came with Richard Childress Racing in 2005 when he finished 13th.

MEET TBR – Fans will have the opportunity to meet both Blaney and TBR owner Tommy Baldwin throughout the week. Baldwin will participate in the Dale Earnhardt Foundation Celebrity Poker Tournament Wednesday, March 2nd from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Theater of Stars Showroom at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower. Fans can buy tickets to watch the tournament for $20. Blaney will participate in a free autograph session at the Back Alley Bar in the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower on Friday, March 4th at 8 p.m.

CHASSIS NO. 802 – Chassis No. 802 was utilized last week at Phoenix as the backup car. The team also ran this chassis in the 2010 NSCS season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

IN THE POINTS – Headed into LVMS, the No. 36 TBR Chevrolet sits in the 39th spot in owner points, five points outside the top-35 with three races before the field is set by 2011 points. With the new rule that a driver can only race for points in one series, Blaney is 36th in driver points.

ON THE DALE EARNHARDT FOUNDATION CELEBRITY POKER TOURNAMENT – “I am thrilled to join the Dale Earnhardt Poker Tournament for the second year in a row. However, I hope I do better than last year.
